The All-star Ingredients of Glomalin’s Moisturizing Face Cream

Glomalin’s Moisturizing Face Cream has 5 key ingredients that each in its own way contributes to its performance in making your skin look and feel amazing.   These are our ingredient all-stars:

Avocado Oil - Cold pressed avocado oil is one of the richest sources of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids like oleic acid. Not only is avocado oil extremely good at hydrating and softening your skin, it is also often recommended as an effective treatment for acne and blackheads, eczema and other forms of skin inflammation.

The main chemical constituents of Avocado Carrier Oil are: PALMITIC ACID known to: be the most common saturated fatty acid.  PALMITOLEIC ACID known to: delay the appearance of premature aging, moisturize and tighten the skin, enhance the brightness of the complexion, enhance skin elasticity to prevent symptoms of premature aging, such as wrinkles. STEARIC ACID is known to have cleansing properties that purge dirt, sweat, and excess sebum from skin, help products remain potent when stored for long periods of time, have exceptional cleansing properties and soften skin.  OLEIC ACIDS (OMEGA 9) are known to maintain the softness, suppleness, and radiance of skin, reduce the appearance of aging, such as premature wrinkles and fine lines, boost immunity and exhibit antioxidant properties. LINOLEIC ACIDS (OMEGA 6) are known to facilitate wound healing, exhibit anti-inflammatory properties, soothe acne and reduce chances of future outbreaks, promote moisture retention in skin and make oils feel thinner in consistency when used in an oil blend, thus being beneficial for use on acne-prone skin.  ALPHA-LINOLENIC ACID (OMEGA-3) is known to lessen inflammation and control blood clotting on the skin.  ARACHIDIC ACID is known to boost immunity.  GADOLEIC ACID (EICOSENOIC ACID) is known to have emollient properties, be non-comedogenic (does not block the skin’s pores), be readily absorbed by the skin, balance the oil in the skin, making it less oily.

Used topically, vitamin-rich Avocado Oil works as a regenerating, re-hydrating treatment for skin that soothes and enhances texture. It smooths the look of wrinkles, tightens skin, and diminishes the appearance of scars, age spots, and other unwanted blemishes

Apricot Kernel Oil - rich in gamma linoleic acid, or GLA, which comes from essential fatty acid omega-6. The GLA content in apricot kernel oil helps skin to maintain moisture balance. Additionally, apricot kernel oil contains vitamin A and E, which soothe the skin and slow signs of aging.

The main chemical constituents of Apricot Kernel Carrier Oil are: Oleic Acids, Linoleic Acids, Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E. PALMITIC ACID is known to have emollient properties and is the most common saturated fatty acid.  STEARIC ACID is known to have cleansing properties that purge dirt, sweat, and excess sebum from skin, help products remain potent when stored for long periods of time, have exceptional cleansing properties and soften skin.  VITAMIN A is known to protect skin against damage caused by UV radiation, slow the appearance of aging by smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, stimulate production of collagen, stimulate cells regeneration to keep skin healthy, strong, and firm, facilitate faster healing of wounds, protect skin against toxins and bacteria and promotes cell production, thus boosting immunity, lighten unwanted blemishes and dark spots, thus balancing skin tone to create an even glow and slow the production of oil in the skin and clears pores, thereby preventing acne breakouts.  VITAMIN E is known to have antioxidant properties that slow the look of aging and boost circulation, repair scarred and blemished skin, prevent moisture loss from skin, offer soothing relief to skin that has been burned and deeply cleanse pores and balance oil production.

Used topically, Apricot Kernel Oil works to moisturize dry, sensitive skin and to smooth out blemishes, wrinkles, fine lines, and other symptoms typical of maturing skin. Its high level of unsaturated fatty acids makes it non-greasy, and its combination of Oleic, Linoleic, and Linolenic acids helps relieve and prevent acne.

Frankincense Essential Oil - is a powerful astringent, meaning it helps protect skin cells. It can be used to help reduce acne blemishes, the appearance of large pores, prevent wrinkles, and it even helps lift and tighten skin to naturally slow signs of aging.   The main chemical constituents of the essential oil are Limonene, Pinene, Borneol, Farnesol, Phellandrene, Myrcene, and other constituents. Limonene demonstrates antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties. It is believed to reduce feelings of anxiety and to stimulate the immune system. Pinene is known to strengthen and invigorate the respiratory system and is reported to have diuretic properties based on empirical evidence. Borneol contributes tonic, anesthetic, sedative and anti-spasmodic properties to this oil. Farnesol is the component that allows this oil to reduce the user’s signs of aging by smoothing the look of wrinkles and increasing skin’s elasticity.

Lavender Essential Oil - has the ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. The Latin name of lavender is Lavare, which means “to wash”, due to its aroma which has a particularly clean aroma.  Lavender oil moisturizes chapped and aging skin. Its anti-septic and anti-fungal properties may help to reduce itching and swelling caused by insect bites. Known to have anti-microbial properties, it provides soothing relief to minor burns and cuts, decreasing pain and inhibiting bleeding while eliminating bacteria from the wound. Its potential to restore skin complexion is also demonstrated with use on aging and acne-prone skin on which it slows the look of aging with its powerful anti-oxidant action and improves the look and feel of skin that is subject to eczema and psoriasis.

Candelilla Wax - is rich in nutrients and easily absorbed into the skin, allowing it to act as a barrier and help prevent moisture loss.  Candelilla Wax functions as a skin-protective barrier agent that helps prevent the skin from losing moisture. It functions as a fast-absorbing lubricant, and a nourishing skin conditioner. Candelilla Wax is reputed to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks as well as the signs of aging, such as wrinkles and age spots. Furthermore, it is said to hydrate parched and scaly skin for enhanced smoothness.

The combination of these 5 ingredients results in a high performance cream for daily use that enhances the skin’s appearance and makes it feel soft to the touch while at the same time reducing the probability of breakouts.  Making Glomalin’s Moisturizing Face Cream a winner in my books!
